23rd July 2006, Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) and XinaoMDT successfully hosted “Low Field MRI Imaging Technology Forum and Peking Union Medical College Hospital XinaoMDT MRI Imaging System Operating Ceremony” in the lecture hall of PUMCH’s clinic building. This ceremony symbolizes: XinaoMDT Centauri 0.3T MRI Imaging System has settled in PUMCH; And XinaoMDT is marching toward its dream of realizing the industrialization of Chinese advanced medical industry.

Many radiology experts attended the forum. Mr. Jianping Dai, President of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Mr. Daqing Ma, Director of Capital Medical University Beijing Friendship Hospital Radiology Office, and Mr. Yupei Zhao, Vice-president of Peking Union Medical College Hospital delivered speeches and cut ribbons at the operating ceremony. During forum, Dr. Jianyu Lian made an academic presentation concerning “the application of high field MRI technology in low field”. Dr. Lei Zhao introduced the application of MRI-Guided therapy technology. Mr. Feng Feng, Director of Peking Union Medical College Hospital delivered a presentation named “the clinical application of low field MRI imaging technology” to explain the clinical application of XinaoMDT’s Centauri0.3T MRI System.　

Moderator of this forum – Peking Union Medical College Hospital Radiology Office director Pro. Zhengyu Jin said: “During the two-month-operation of XinaoMDT’s MRI System in our hospital, we have carried through imaging diagnosis for pathologic changes in different body parts. The excellent clinical application has proved that this low field MRI equipment can perfectly meet the advanced clinical needs. It is our great pleasure to collaborate with XinaoMDT and American Harvard University in image-guided therapy research. And we are confident in the prospect of this research.”
All the experts agreed: the continuous development in imaging quality and the distinguished performance of MRI-guided therapy in clinical application will make low field MRI imaging technology a trend of Chinese medical field; the application of this technology will greatly contribute to the popularization of digital medical equipment in Chinese hospitals and to the successful solution of many medical care problems.
