On this day, Early Stage Breast Cancer Imaging Technology Promoting Meeting hosted by Yuling Medicine Committee was held in Yulin Red Cross Hospital. More than 300 medical experts, practitioners, officials, scholars and journalists participated in the meeting, including Prof. Liansheng Ning from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital, Dr. Weiping Wang and Dr.Tianbin Yuan from XinaoMDT, some officials from Guangxi Yulin Board of Health and many experts. The participants discussed the development of early stage breast cancer imaging, exchanged their ideas concerning the research and clinical application of this new technology. Many experts praised XinaoMDT’Optimus Ultrasound / Optical Diffusion Breast Imaging System for its innovative technology and clinical application.

As the leader of the R&D team, Dr. Weiping Wang introduced Ultrasound / Optical Diffusion Breast Imaging System:  “XinaoMDT’s OPTIMUS is the first hybrid of optical imaging and ultrasound imaging. The participants shared the application of OPTIMUS in more than 100 cases. Among these cases, successful diagnosis accuracy is above 85%. Dr. Tianbin Yuan introduced the R&D, the clinical application and the development of this new technology. He added: “the Optimus Ultrasound / Optical Diffusion Breast Imaging System occupies less space, and is easy and fast to operate. Through clinical application in more than 400 cases in American Harvard Hospital, Connecticut University Medical Center, Hebei Medical College 2nd Hospital and Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital, it is proved that the diagnosis accuracy is above 85%”.

Mr. Jianfei He, director of Yulin Red Cross Hospital Breast Disease Office said: “A female employee of our hospital who had breast hyperplasia since last December could not receive treatment because the failure of imaging equipment in displaying her pathological place prevented doctor from judging the pathological change to be benign or malignant. This January, a reexamination of her breast with XinaoMDT’s OPTIMUS clearly showed that she had breast cancer (4C level).
