Korea Food and Drug Administration (“KFDA”), has issued a KFDA Product Approval for the OPTIMUS product（Ultrasound / Optical Diffusion Breast Imaging System）in July, 2008.
Combining ultrasound imaging technology and Diffusion-Optical Tomography technology, OPTIMUS is an early breast cancer detection system developed by XinAoMDT. It is the great achievement of the collaboration between the University of Connecticut and MDT since 1998. As an innovative technology, it has been reported in the world-known medias like Laser World Magazine, Radiology and the television programs like CBS.
The KFDA approval is a milestone for Diffusion-Optical Technology deployment which will greatly benefit the women’s health in future.
